THINGS TO DO

George Vernon Dunn, 80

Born Tuesday, January 14, 1941

Died Sunday, February 7, 2021

George Vernon Dunn, 80, of Muskogee, OK peacefully left this world the morning of February 7, 2021. He was born in Muskogee to Charles and Rosemary Dunn on January 14, 1941.
He married his sweetheart, Charlotte Lightle in 1962 and they began to build their family of four. A jack-of-all-trades, George spent his lifetime working with his hands all over the world. He was a well-known plumber and pipe fitter, welder, mechanic, and auto-body artist with a hidden talent for cartooning and fudge making that brought endless joy to his loved ones. He spent his retirement giving time and energy to his family and community with his wife – playing handyman, chauffeur, gardener, and volunteer – doing what he could to help those around him live in greater comfort so they could grow.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rosemary Dunn; and wife, Charlotte Dunn.
He is survived by his siblings, Kathy and Mike; sons, Wesley Dunn and wife Jennifer, and Alan Dunn and wife Charlotte; grandchildren, Jill, Bailey, Kacee, and Corey; all to carry on his legacy of hard work and dedication to family.
A small memorial for friends and family will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon to reminisce on the time we had with him and the influence he had on our lives.
