Geneva (Pilcher) Osborn, 83, of Muskogee, was born March 4, 1939, in DeLeon, TX, to Billy and Rosa (Crownover) Pilcher and peacefully passed away May 4, 2022 in Fort Gibson.
Geneva received her formal education at DeLeon High School and graduated in 1958. She married Billy Dean Osborn on August 25, 1958 and moved to Southern California, staying in the golden state 19 years before moving to Oklahoma in 1978. Geneva was very involved with her church and served temple missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Atlanta, GA and Chicago, IL. She cherished her time outside fishing, working in her garden and canning her harvests. Geneva enjoyed tole painting on wood, coloring and puzzles. She loved to attend car races at Thunderbird Raceway in Muskogee and playing the guitar. Her love for her family was evident in every thing she did. She will be missed by many.
Geneva is lovingly survived by her daughter, Mikel Parkes and husband, David, of Muskogee; son, Mark Osborn and wife, Mary, of Muskogee; brother, Jack Pilcher and wife, Nadine, of San Angelo, TX; sister, Juanita Cox and husband, Stanley, of Lamesa, TX; sister, Nelsie Miller, of Zepher, TX; sisters-in-law, Betty Pilcher, of Eunice, TX; Nelda Pilcher, of Eunice, TX; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; extended family and many friends.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Osborn; son, Troy Osborn; brothers, John Pilcher, Edd Pilcher, and Billy Claude Pilcher; and a sister, Dorothy Singletary.
A funeral service celebrating Geneva’s life will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, May 11th, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Muskogee, OK, with Bishop Chris Emler officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, OK with David Parkes, Mathew Parkes, Nathan Parkes, Cory Parkes, Jonathan Jackson, and Tieler Osborn serving as casket bearers.
