Eva Mozell Royse, 80

Born Sunday, July 7, 1940

Died Friday, September 11, 2020

On September 11, 2020 Eva Mozell Royse went to her heavenly home with her family by her side. Mozell was born July 7, 1940 to Evalenna and John McElmurry. She grew up and attended school in Fort Gibson. In 1959 Mozell married Wayne Royse and made their home in Fort Gibson together they had 5 children, Kathy and husband Nick Reich, Tammy and husband Jimmy Martin, Shelly and husband Scott Brooks, Connie and husband Jerrod Melton all of Fort Gibson; son Jeff and wife Whitney Royse of Oktaha; 14 grandchildren, Tina and husband Tony Downey, Michael and wife Andrea Reich, Tanya Reich, Kenneth Martin, Joshua and wife Katelynn Brooks, Jason Stewart, Richie and wife Amber Melton, Katy Brooks, Jeffery Melton, Mckinzee and husband Andrew Farmer, Thomas Melton, Emmey and husband Jeremy Capps, Sidney Royse, Sara Royse. 15 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene and Madlyn, and one brother, Roy.
Mozell retired from Fort Gibson School where she worked as a custodian for years and then transferred to the cafeteria where she loved all the staff and she especially loved the students. Mozell loved going to yard sales, shopping with her daughters, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harold, Danny, Lenard and Eulice; two sisters Geraldine and twin sister, Margaret; and grandson, Jason Stewart.
A visitation is scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2020 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson with family receiving friends 5PM-7PM.
Services celebrating Mozell’s life will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Fort Gibson Church of Christ with Mr. Budo Perry officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Michael Reich, Kenneth Martin, Josh Brooks, Richie Melton, Jeffery Melton and Thomas Melton. Honorary Pallbearers are Nick Reich, Jimmy Martin, Jerrod Melton and Scott Brooks.
