Died Friday, November 15, 2019

Eric Darin Byrd, 46, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 with his family at his side. He was born December 11, 1972 in Muskogee to Ross Byrd III and Linda (Ogden) Byrd.
He attended public schools from which he graduated.
Eric worked for Coburn Optical and later worked for the Port of Muskogee as a scale operator until his health began to fail. He also worked as a firefighter for the Brushy Mountain Volunteer Fire Department.
Eric will always be remembered for the love he had for his family; they meant the world to him.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Ross Byrd III.
Eric is survived by his wife, Christy, of the home; sons, Dalton Byrd, Blake Byrd and his girlfriend, Brittany Cantrell; his grandson, Bentley Cantrell; mother, Linda Byrd; siblings, Scott Byrd, Brandi Mocha and husband Nick; nieces, Courtney Stone, Hannah Mocha, and Tara Parrish; nephew, Matt Lott; along with other family members and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services celebrating Eric’s life will be 2PM, Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Muskogee First Baptist Church with Mr. Roger Pratt and Mr. Russ Pratt officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Dalton Byrd, Blake Byrd, Scott Byrd, Nick Mocha, Cody Gritts, and Dakota Ballard serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Brushy Mountain Fire Department, Bubby Morgan, Dalton Clay, Gary Clay, Kevin Faucett, Mark Carson, and Matt Lott.
