Earline Guidry, 64

Born Wednesday, October 27, 1954

Died Tuesday, August 6, 2019

Earline Guidry along with her twin brother Earnest was the first of three sets of twins born to Herman Loyd Guidry, Sr. and Alta Marie (Sensley) Guidry on October 27, 1954 in Oakland, California.

Earline attended Golden Gate Elementary and Havens Court Middle School in Oakland, California where she participated in journalism and talent shows that included dancing and singing. As a child Earline liked playing Jacks, Hopscotch, and Roller Skating.

In 1970, she moved to Luther, Oklahoma to live with her Aunt Lurlin where she attended Luther High School and graduated on May 15, 1973. She participated in Pep Club, Student Council, 4-H Club, and “socializing”.

Earline loved life. She had a great sense of humor, she was stubborn, and she had a laugh out of this world. Earline and her cousin Bythella (also a twin) were “two peas in a pod”. They did a lot of fun things together. The most memorable times were as little girls in Oakland, California attending the Roller Derby on Sunday afternoons, attending parties with her twin cousins who were born in the same year as Earline.

Earline was born into the Church of the Living God Pillar Ground of Truth (P.G.T) and was baptized by Bishop McFall in Oakland, California. When Earline moved to Luther, Oklahoma she attended the Church of the Living God Temple #23 and was a member of the Sunday School, Y.P.P.U, and choir.

Earline is preceded in death by her parents, Alta Marie Guidry and Herman Loyd Guidry, Sr.; her sister Fayeatte Guidry (twin of Joyceatte); and her brother Herman Guidry, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers: her twin Earnest (Maryland) Guidry of Muskogee, OK and Alto (Wei) Guidry of Arlington, TX; three sisters: Joyceatte Guidry of Okmulgee, OK, Ida Guidry of Kansas City, MO, and Alta (William) Franklin of Kansas City, MO; One Uncle Albert “Hambone” (Joan) Sensley of Port Charlotte, FL; five nephews: Ray (Tanisha) Guidry of Broken Arrow, OK, Leon (Linda) Guidry of Bixby, OK, Deon (Jackie) Guidry of Tulsa, OK, Josiah Franklin of Kansas City, MO, and Weilun Guidry of Arlington, TX; two nieces: Fayeatte Guidry of Tulsa, OK and Caressa Franklin of Kansas City, MO; one great nephew, Treyvion Frazier of Oklahoma City, OK; along with a host of cousins and friends.
