David Scott Fletcher, 72, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019. He was born February 10, 1946 to John David Fletcher and Clara Lenora (Ditzler) Fletcher in Muskogee, Oklahoma. David was a high school graduate. He married the love of his life, Carol Lynn Adcock, on December 31, 1989 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared over 29 years of a happy life and marriage together.
David was a construction supervisor at Curt’s Oil until his retirement in 2009 at the age of 62. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing. David adored his grandchildren and was very active in their lives. He loved teaching them all many sports and spending time with them. David will always be remembered as a loving brother, husband, father and grandfather by everyone who knew and loved him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Fletcher; and brothers, Clifford A. Fletcher and Jerry E. Fletcher.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol Fletcher of the home; children, Olin Smith and wife Jennifer of Muskogee, OK, Denny Charboneau of Park Hill, OK, and Kevin Charboneau and wife Susi of Park Hill, OK; grandchildren, Raelynn Smith, Hayden Smith, Steffan Smith all of Muskogee, OK, Magen Charboneau and Amber Charboneau of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, George Fletcher and wife Pat of Muskogee, OK, and Johnny Fletcher and wife Maria of Madrid, Spain; sisters, Becky Shires and husband Randy of Fort Worth, TX, and Mary Ellen Massing of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister-in-law, Daytha Murr and husband James and their family; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A celebration of David’s life will be 1PM, Monday, January 14, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with his brother, George Fletcher and other family members officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Childress, Brian Alexander, Bryan Page, Luke Toney and Jaidyn Toney.
