Darwin Eugene Parker was born from the union of Joe Curtis Parker and Alice Mae Parker on July 21, 1971 at 9:32 A.M. in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Better known as "Turtle" by those close to him, he attended Muskogee Public Schools as a child before later transferring to Taft Moton High School in 1988.  He graduated from there with the Class of 1989.

Darwin enjoyed music, dancing and spending time with his nieces and nephews.  He joined Cummings-Cole Christian Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age under the late Reverend Ophelia Harris.  During his lifetime, he worked in the healthcare field in Kansas before returning to Oklahoma in 2000.

In his 48th year, Darwin Eugene Parker transitioned from life to everlasting memory on August 26, 2019 from Muskogee Oklahoma.  The Lord called him home to Glory.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Mae [Gamble] Parker on December 25, 2018, along with his grandparents, George and Flora Davenport, and John T. Parker and Janie Mae Parker, five Aunts and three Uncles, and other relatives.

He leaves to lament his death and cherish his memories;  his father, Joe Curtis Parker [Bobbie], Mesquite, Texas;  his sister, Dyone Elaine Johnson [Mike], Muskogee, Oklahoma;  his brothers, James E. Johnson, Jr.[Melanie] and Joseph E. Johnson; two special friends, Shanna Buckner and Juanita Parker; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends



The final hour with Darwin will commence on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at High Noon in the Taft Resource Center.  Burial will follow in the Taft City Cemetery.  

You may visit Mr. Parker, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the funeral home in Muskogee on Friday from 3 PM until 6 PM.
