THINGS TO DO

Connie Faye Hiseley, 68

Born Tuesday, May 5, 1953

Died Sunday, September 26, 2021

Connie Faye (Ford) Hiseley went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, 26 September 2021. She was born in Muskogee on May 5, 1953 to Perry Ford and Gertrude (Little) Ford, she was the youngest of 10 children raised in Fort Gibson.
Connie was a star basketball player in high school and graduated at the top of her class from Fort Gibson High School. She attended Connors State College, where she met and married her husband of 28 years, Keith. Together, they had two sons, Tommy and Toby, whom they raised in Fort Gibson and Warner. Connie was known as the neighborhood Mom. There was never a kid that wasn’t welcomed with open arms and an open heart.
Connie served for many years as the Purchasing Director of Griffins Foods in Muskogee and retired as the City Clerk for Warner in 2015. After retirement, she joined her son Toby’s family on their Air Force journey, moving to Alaska to enjoy life in the midnight sun. She returned to Oklahoma in 2020 to be near Tommy and his family. She will always be known for filling a room with laughter and a beautiful smile. She was always willing to serve and enjoyed the company of her family. Her greatest gift was to her grandchildren. They lit up her life and she did theirs. Nana (or Nina) never hesitated to crawl in the floor and play with her babies, read a book, take them on special trips, and her purse always held “prizes”.
Connie is survived by her sons, Tommy, his wife, Chessa and Toby and his wife, Kimberly; her beloved grandchildren, Gage, Allison, Kyleigh, William, Katie Belle, Connor, and Cannon; her brothers Jerry and Donald, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Connie is preceded in death by her best friend and granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Hiseley and granddaughter, Skyler Faith Hiseley; her mother and father; brothers, Harry and Charles; and sisters, Delphia, Shirley, Iva, and Ruthie Belle.
Services will be held on Friday, 1 October 2021 at 11:00 am at the First Pentecostal Church of God, 305 SE Railroad St, Fort Gibson, OK 74434 followed by interment at Fort Gibson Citizens Cemetery.
