Charles Edward Strader Jr; 78 of Langley, OK was born October 19, 1940 in Oklahoma City, OK to Charles Sr. and Ebbie Mae (Marrow) Strader and peacefully passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 in the Jack C Montgomery Veterans Hospital in Muskogee with his loving family by his side. Charles grew up in Oklahoma City where he received his formal education. He joined the United States Navy on November 22, 1957 and received an honorable discharge on November 16, 1960. Charles went to work in the concrete construction business in San Diego for 27 years. The next 30 years were spent as a professional truck driver traveling all over the U.S. delivering household goods and high value products. He was a nature and animal lover and taught all his grandchildren to fish. Charles was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ and had an unconditional love for all of his family. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and devotion. Charles is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Donna L. Ryan and a son, John R. Strader; sister, Charlene Ernst. Those left to cherish Charles memory are his wife, Judy of the home; son, David Suter and wife Janice of Cleveland, OK; and daughter, Cynthia Strader-Holder and husband Daniel of Clemson, SC; six grandchildren; two great grandsons, Bladen and Tanner; extended family and many friends. In lieu of flowers the family request donations in Charles’ name to the Langley, OK First Baptist Church @ Box 202 Langley, OK 74350. A graveside service will be held 2PM Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Pastor Davies Vanpool officiating. Military Honors will be observed.
