Charles Berry Smither, 82

Died Monday, January 20, 2020

Charles Berry Smither, 82, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Monday, January 20, 2020. He was born on January 30, 1937 to James Gabriel Smither and Ludie Ree (Rackley) Smither in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Charlie was a graduate of Haskell High School. He joined the U.S. Army National Guard and later received an honorable discharge.
Charlie married the love of his life, Nina L. Pregler, on March 14, 1956 in Haskell, Oklahoma. They shared many years of life and marriage together.
Charlie was a mechanic and maintenance man for many years and owned his own service station. He loved going deer hunting and fishing and enjoyed taxidermy. Charlie loved his family very much and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabe and Ludie Smither; his wife, Nina Smither; and sister, Shirley Fuller of Estelline, TX.
Charlie is survived by his son, Dwayne Smither and fiancé Cindy Petz of Goddard, KS; daughter, Brenda Eubanks and husband Brian of Oktaha, OK; grandchildren, Travis Smither and wife Bridget of Olathe, KS, Brianna Eubanks and Will Eubanks both of Oktaha, OK; and many other family members and friends.
A celebration of Charlie’s life will be 1PM, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bill Crow officiating.
