Brock Fredrick Ferguson, 66

Born Saturday, September 19, 1953

Died Saturday, September 19, 2020

Brock Frederick Ferguson, 67 of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020. He was born on September 19, 1953 to Frederick Ferguson and Janey (Byers) Boydston in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Growing up in Muskogee, Brock had many childhood friends. He and his buddies were all curious and mischievous in character. This kept his mother Janey always wondering about what Brock was going to do next. One incident that comes to mind is the time when he and his friend were out delivering newspapers on a cold morning. Brock and Paul decided they needed to warm up, so they built a bonfire in the middle of the street, leaving all customers without their morning paper. He was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, golf and fishing. Brock also played baseball in his younger years and spent a number of years coaching little league baseball. He also enjoyed playing dominos – especially with his mother, his son, and his grandson. This was their sacred 4-generational pastime.
Brock spent 40 years in the mattress manufacturing industry, retiring from Kingsdown in 2015. After retiring, he went on to become a part-time delivery man for Cagle’s Flowers, which is owned by his sister Becky Hearon. He had countless stories to tell about his delivery experiences – especially from the elderly ladies who were celebrating milestone birthdays. Many would invite him in for coffee and conversation.
Brock was a kind and gentle man who loved his family and Church. He was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Although he never learned to read music, he was a member of the Bell Choir. He spent numerous hours on the computer watching youtube “how to” videos to learn how to play the musical pieces the choir was assigned to play. Brock also volunteered at Catholic Charities in Muskogee. He enjoyed this ministry as he felt he was making a difference in the lives of those in need. He will be missed by his family and his many friends.
Brock was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Ferguson.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille of the home; mother, Janey Boydston of Muskogee, OK; step-mother, Novelle Ferguson of Tahlaquah, OK; children, Sean Ferguson and wife Melissa of Fayetteville, AR, and Misha Estrada of Lincoln, NE; Elaine Connors, step-daughter, of the home; grandchildren, Sean Michael Ferguson in the U.S. Navy, Mikaelie Palu, Dominic Estrada, Benjamin Estrada, and Julia Estrada all of Lincoln, NE, Dazman Karales, Sophia Barahona and Olivia Barahona all of Fayetteville, AR; sisters, Becky Hearon and husband Kem of Muskogee, OK, Tracy Ferrero and husband Phil of Norman, OK, Belinda Walters of Tulsa, OK, and Sharon Metz and husband Rick of Tulsa, OK; and many other family members and friends.
Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 9AM-7PM with family receiving friends between 5PM-7PM, at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
A private family Rosary will be 7PM-8PM, Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Cornertsone Funeral Home.
