Died Monday, July 22, 2019

Brent Allen Bradley, 54, of Fort Gibson passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee, OK. Brent was born on October 28, 1964 in Muskogee to Johnny and Elwanda (Willyard) Bradley.
Brent had a life-long passion for all things, especially horses. From an early age, he showed that this passion would drive him to a career for more than 30 years in professional horse racing. He began his career atop race horses at the age of 12, and continued to gain prestige and recognition through numerous wins and countless accolades spanning from 1978 – 2005; culminating with being one of the most sought-after professional horse jockeys from Oklahoma to New York. He attended Fort Gibson Public schools where he was active in both football and baseball. After his retirement in 2005, he continued with his passion as a consultant to many local horse trainers and breeders. Brent also enjoyed sitting on the front porch with his father, Johnny Bradley, discussing all their ventures together, from horse racing to raising chickens.
Throughout Brent’s time, he displayed a knack for kindness and camaraderie during any and every interaction.
Brent is survived by his parents; Johnny and Elwanda Bradley of Fort Gibson, OK; daughters, Patti Cly & husband TJ of Oologah, OK and Tasha Corley & husband Jeff of Cooper, TX; five grandchildren, Payton and Talan Cly and Travis, Jase and Brett Corley; sisters, Debi Creason of Tahlequah, OK and Karen Crall & husband Rick of Fort Gibson, OK; brother, Johnny Ray Bradley of Fort Gibson, OK and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial service celebrating Brent’s life will be held at 11am, Saturday August 3, 2019 at Cookson Baptist Church, with Reverend Jim Brunk & Reverend Doug Rainbolt officiating. Nephews, Wesley Benge, Greg Benge, Wade Renfrow, Shawn Crall, Dakota Creason, Lane Bradley and Tyler Bradley will serve as urn bearers. Honorary urn bearer will be Johnny Ray Bradley.
