Bob “Willie Bob” Glenn Strait, 69

Died Saturday, November 23, 2019

Bob “Willie Bob” Glenn Strait passed away in Park Hill, OK at his home on Sugar Hollow Road on November 23, 2019 at the age of 69.
Bob is survived by his wife Carol Strait; children Stacia Strait of McKinney, TX; Brandi White and her husband, Dave, of Broken Arrow, OK; Darin Zumwalt and his wife, Kati, of Bixby, OK; and Holli Gaskins and her husband, Jake, of Broken Arrow, OK; and seven grandchildren, Jada Walker, MaKayla and Kamaree Baul, Tristin White, Carter and Keeli Zumwalt, and Poppi Gaskins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Nancy Strait, and his brother, Clayton Strait.
Bob was born on February 7, 1950 in Tulsa, OK to Bob and Nancy Strait. He graduated from McLain High School in 1968 and Tulsa Community College with a degree in Theatre Arts. Bob served his country in the Army from May of 1970 – May of 1973 as a Morse Code Interceptor while serving overseas in Okinawa, Japan during the Vietnam War. He married Carol Strait on June 29, 1991 and enjoyed over 28 years of marriage. During that time, the couple welcomed four children into their home.
A funeral is scheduled for December 2, 2019 at 11:00 am at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson, OK with a committal service immediately following at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bob’s life.
The family appreciates everyone’s thoughts and prayers while Bob was fighting his battle with Leukemia.
