Bill Sampson was born on July 9, 1949 to Carl and Dorothy (McFarland) Sampson, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He moved to California when he was 3 years old and lived there until he became an adult, and then moved back to Muskogee. He married Donna (Fugate) Sampson on April 28, 1989, recently celebrating 32 years of marriage. Bill owned and operated Sampson Remodeling for over 35 years before closing the business and going to work for Muskogee Public Schools as a carpenter until his death.
Bill loved to travel with his family, taking numerous trips all over the U.S. every year, and their favorite destination was being on a beach somewhere. Bill was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Dorothy Sampson; brother, Johnnie Sampson; sister, Virginia “Sue” Burcham, and grandson; Brian Sampson. Left to cherish his memory is wife, Donna; girls, Kyra and Karly Goad of the home; daughters, Damara and Leisha Goad; grandsons, Bryson Hunter and Caleb Goad; granddaughter, Kennedy Spencer ;sons, Billy (Jennifer), and Carl Sampson; grandson, Stephan Sampson; granddaughter, Sarah Sampson; great grandchildren, Stephan Jr., Shawn, Sage Sampson, and Troy Post; siblings, Jerry, Donnie, and Larry Sampson, Carol (Ernie) McCoy, Sharon Mullanix, and Ruby Adcock, all of Muskogee, Lillie Baldwin, Barbara (Johnny) Coder, Glenna Shire, Brenda (Tommy) Wilson, Melody (Joe) Caples, Loretta Sampson, and sister in law Beverly Sampson, all of California, along with numerous other family members and friends, and his co-workers at Muskogee Public Schools.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Bishop Chris Sandler will officiate. Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 N. York Street, Muskogee, OK. Condolences may be made to the family online at
