Betty Mae Barker, 75

Died Thursday, June 27, 2019

Betty Mae Barker of Muskogee Oklahoma died June 27th, 2019. She was born November 15th, 1943 in Anthony Kansas to Ethle Mae Conner and Johnnie Dale Waggoner. Betty has two living sisters Darlene and Karen. Betty had one sister, Judy Waggoner who passed away at an earlyage.
Betty was a high school graduate before marrying John McKinley Barker, July 18th, 1963, in Spearman Texas, where they lived before moving to Tulsa Oklahoma. They have three sons Patrick, Christopher and Kelly. Betty and John have four grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth, Steven Patrick, and Kourtney and Madison Cox.
Betty was employed early on at Shell Oil company and also worked at Med X drug store before going to work at the Muskogee Pheonix newspaper. She retired from there after 25 years of service. Betty enjoyed spending time with her dogs and watching Nascar with John.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Betty lost her husband John in March. A memorial service will be held for Betty and John at a later date
