Anna Kaye (Rhyne) Keaton, 83, of Tulsa, was born April 15, 1937 in Muskogee, to Albert and Mildred (Lauderdale) Rhyne and peacefully passed Saturday, May 9, 2020 at her brothers’ home in Fort Gibson, with her loving family by her side.
Anna received her formal education and graduated from Fort Gibson High School with the class of 1955. She continued her education at Northeastern State University and graduated in 1958 with a Bachelor’s degree in education. She met and married the love of her life Lloyd Keaton on September 30, 1960. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2016. She worked as a teacher for 1 year in Wagoner, then went to work for Exon Mobile as a secretary for 20 years where she retired, she then went back to teaching in Coweta for 4 years where her husband was principle. She played the piano and taught piano lessons to many.
She lived in Fort Gibson for 24 years, in Oklahoma City for 5 years and Tulsa for 54 years. She was a faithful member of Valley View Church in Fort Gibson for many years.
Anna loved to travel, plant flowers, OU football and work crossword puzzles, but most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Anna is lovingly survived by her brother; Don Rhyne and his wife Melody of Fort Gibson; sister in law and brother in law, Debbie Whitman and her husband Todd of Muskogee; nieces, Heidi McCurdy and her husband Mike, Mandy Wildman and her husband Clint of Muskogee; nephews, Donald Brett Rhyne of Coweta; Derek Whitman of Muskogee, Tommy Bowen and his wife Honey of Fort Gibson, Michael Mahan of Fort Gibson and extended family and many friends.
A memorial service Celebrating Anna Kaye Keaton’s life will be held at a later date.
