On May 11, 2020, Anna Belle Perry, 82 our beloved and cherished mother left this earthly life to return to her Heavenly Father following a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Known as Ann by most, and “Annie” by her loving family, spent her life residing in the Muskogee area. Ann was born in Muskogee to Harvey Clifford and Bertha Ann (Blankenship) Dickerson on 16 August 1937. The proud baby sister to her two older brothers. She graduated from Muskogee Central High School with the Class of 1955. Shortly after graduation she met and married Flentell Perry, beginning a 53-year adventure together raising and providing for their three sons. She was employed and retired as the Office Manager for the Nelson’s Furniture Company in Muskogee.
Ann was adventurous and always looking for opportunities to travel and visit new places including Sea Cruises in California, Florida, and New England, family vacations throughout the US, as well as weekend getaways to local hotspots such as Branson, Missouri. She has hiked Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, Carlsbad Caverns, and the Arizona Deserts. Being a true Christmas enthusiast, she really enjoyed shopping excursions during the holiday season to New York City and Branson.
Ann is survived by her brother; Donald Dickerson of Muskogee; Three sons, Larry Perry, and wife Cherylee Perry, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; Alan Perry and Ed Johnson, Wilmington, North Carolina; and Michael Perry; Dallas, Texas; Four grandchildren, Jeremy Perry and wife Lisa Perry, Phoenix, Arizona; Jami Armstrong and husband Adam Armstrong, Muskogee, Oklahoma; Madison Perry, Dallas, Texas: and Parker Perry, San Diego, California; Two great-grandchildren, Mitchell Perry, Phoenix, Arizona; and Jessie Armstrong, Muskogee, Oklahoma; Brother-in-Law, Roy Perry, Muskogee, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Spencer, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Bonita Futhey, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Ann was preceded in death by Harvey Clifford Dickerson, Bertha Ann Dickerson, brother Alex Joe Dickerson, husband Flentell Perry, and sister-in-law Mary Perry.
Ann’s beautiful blue eyes and sincere kindness will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A special thank you to the Fort Gibson Nursing Home for personal care provided to our Annie.
