Alieen Pitts, 89, of Muskogee, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 11, 2021. She was born on November 26, 1931 to John Nicholas Cook and Annie Loucrecia (Stewart) Cook in Haskell, Oklahoma. She was a graduate of Muskogee Central High School
She married the love of her life, Paul Gene Pitts, Sr., on July 23, 1953 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared many years of life, marriage and many happy memories together.
Cookie worked at Brockway Glass for 17 years until her retirement in 1987.She also worked at the voter’s precinct. She was a faithful member of New Hope Assembly of God for many years. Cookie used to work with the mom’s ministry at Grace Ministries. She loved the Lord and enjoyed spending early mornings reading her bible and praying. Cookie enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her flower beds. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul G. Pitts, Sr.; her son, John Mark Pitts; and her parents, John and Annie Cook.
Cookie is survived by her son, Paul Pitts, Jr. and wife Joanie; daughter, Becky Walker and husband Eddie; grandchildren, Alisha Hall, Shane Pitts, Jay Walker and wife Amber, Elisha Walker, Andrea Fulton, Sara Hyslope and husband BJ, Lacey Durossette and husband Dalton; Katie Pitts, Jeremy Huff, Austin Huff and Aaron Glass; 18 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Alma Brannan and husband Leonard, and Imogene Smart and husband Bill; and many other family members and friends.
A celebration of Cookie’s life will 12PM, Monday, April 19, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tony Hodgson and Pastor Anthony Roe officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Shane Pitts, Jordan Walker, Dalton Durossette, BJ Hyslope, George Barton and Jay Walker serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Garrett Barton.
