Oktaha’s basketball team is on a camp in Kinta today, which was locked down after reports of a person with a gun in Stigler, according to Oktaha Superintendent Jerry Needham.
“Out of an abundance of caution,” the camp was locked down, Needham said, and “we decided to bring our boys home today.”
There is no further information available on the active shooter situation.
“I don’t believe our kids were in any immediate danger,” he said. “Them locking Kinta down was enough for me.”
UPDATE 12:12 PM: The man in Stigler was only armed with a pellet gun, according to the Stigler Police Department.
