Thomas Hensley, 22, of Keota was driving a 2011 Chevrolet pickup on a county road half a mile south of Keota on Sunday, apparently drunk, according to the Oklahoma Highway Parol.
The pickup departed the road to the left, striking a tree, turning over a quarter of a time and catching on fire. Hensley exited the vehicle and fled the scene as his passengers, Austin Hensley, 23 and Jeff Bryant, 22, were pinned inside.
A passing motorist helped the two out. Austin Hensley was transported to a Fort Smith hospital with trunk and arm injuries. Bryant was transported to the hospital with leg and trunk injuries. Thomas Hensley was not injured.
He was not wearing a seatbelt.
